Companion - Elder Wineager
Area – Paper Mill

Dear Family and Friends,

Monday: Rained the whole day. Played some basketball, then some soccer

Tuesday-Thursday: Don't remember a whole lot... Sorry! Just knocking and stuff

Friday: Elder Blair calls us up and wants to go on an exchange. So he does and Elder Fossum is sent down to their area with the Elder Wineager (the greenie who is 2 days old mission wise) so we go about our exchange and things, then President Bennion calls and says he's coming to our apartment. So, as Elders would do around 8:30 we ride as fast as we can to our apartment and start making it spotless. President and Sister Bennion come and Elder Blair and President go into a room and have an interview. That leaves me and Sister Bennion... So we're talking and things and then she decided it'd be better if we arranged our apartment furniture a different way so we do. Haha then President walks out of the room with Elder Blair.. We sit there a little awkwardly for a moment and he says "Congratulations Elder Trendler, you’ll be training" and that's how I became a trainer haha good times. Little about my greenie as I've only spent 2 days with him, but he seems like a cool guy and really knows his stuff:

Favorite lesson to teach: Restoration
He's an awesome dude.

Saturday: So, miracle number one. We went to a former investigators home to see if they would be willing to let us teach. Long story short they were out of town. So, as we are walking back to the car I feel like we should go knock on a member’s home just three houses down. Sadly, I ignore the prompting and continue to the car and agree to go tracting in an apartment complex. Before we start we say a prayer to figure out where to go. As we say amen we feel like we know exactly where we're supposed to go. Back to the member’s home. So we do. We knock and... No one's home. We agree that the Lord had a work for us to do in that area. We start knocking and the first door is not interested. We remembered a referral we had tried a while back next door and thought we'd give it a shot. We knock and Mercy opens the door. She says she has been going through some stuff in her life and would like guidance from God. She said if we had come any earlier we would've missed her because she just pulled in. We set up a return appointment and as we're walking away, the member pulls up and their van is broken so they can't park on the driveway. They are coming home from a long trip so we were able to let the mom and kids go inside and rest and help them unload their car.

Sunday: Miracle number two. Before tracting, I asked Elder Wineager how many new investigators we wanted to find within the two hours tracting. We agreed on two. With the goal in our heads we started knocking. We met Cassidy, who said he didn't have much time. We told him we could be in and out in 5 minutes. He let us right in and we did the 4 minute restoration. He loved it and invited us back. We go to another complex and got told to not knock there. So we go to the next one over. That's when we meet Marcus. Talk to him about eternal families and he loved it. All thanks to the guy who said to not knock the previous homes. So now we have our two in under 2 hours. We decide to push our luck and try for a third haha. We go to a potentials home and he answers! So we teach him! He loves the message as well and set a return appointment with us. The Lord blessed us tremendously.

I can testify to letting the Lord be apart of his work. Sounds crazy right? Duh! Of course this is His work but when we allow him into our decision making and just our lives in general through sincere prayer and doing His will, things will work out better than any of us can imagine.

Thank you for all the support!

Love Y’all,

Elder Trendler
